Noise Reduction: Three Ways
Comfort: Too Many Ways to Count.
Only the Telex Stratus 50-D cuts noise three ways, with passive protection, analog
ANR, and digital tonal ANR. DSP (digital signal processing) allows the Stratus to
predict and fine tune to recurring cabin noise for the ultimate in noise reduction.
To give an accurate measure of performance, we tested each of its three noise reduction
methods at the same critical frequency of 90 Hz (i.e. engine and blade noise).
Because we tested the passive, analog ANR
and digital ANR performance at the same frequency, it allows us to add the results together for a
true noise reduction total of 50+ dB right where you need it the most.
